The Middle (Going Away To College)
These are a few songs I wrote right before I started college. It was a
time when I felt completely hopeless and scared about the future.
was more alone than I had ever been before, which made recording
these songs really hard for me.
While I was writing them, I was also changing my setup:
I still had my Zoom Gx-Four, but I added a BOSS OD-3 Overdrive.
I got rid of my iRig 2 and switched to an M-Audio M-Track Duo.
And finally, I got a Yeti microphone.
Since I’m not very experienced at making clean recordings, the
mixing and delivery are kind of rough—but honestly, that’s part of the
charm.
